Division 6 is proud to be a force multiplier for C. G. Station Miami Beach, C. G. Sector Miami Beach and C. G. Air Station Miami
|
Welcome to Division 6 of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, Seventh District. The Division is made up of 6 Flotillas which serve the Miami-Dade county of southern Florida. Our Area of Responsibility extends from t Caesar’s Creek, in the south, to Lehman Causeway in the north. We also patrol the Miami River.
Division 6 has close to 350 members who donate thousands of hours in support of the Coast Guard missions. We in Division 6 work directly with the men and women of Coast Guard Station Miami Beach, Coast Guard Sector Miami and Air Station Miami . These Coast Guard units receive direct support from our members who perform multiple duties including public relations, maintenance, administration, radio watchstanding, hawkeye watchstanding as well as air and sea safety patrols.
Auxiliarists donate thousands of hours doing Vessel Safety Checks, Public Education classes, Search and Rescue, Marine Safety and Environmental Protection and Marine Domain Awareness operations. The Division has very active Surface and Air programs. We conduct ongoing patrols both by plane and boat. We have several inlets to cover, with Bakers Haulover, Port Everglades and Government Cut being the most trafficked.
We are proud to be America's Volunteer Lifesavers!
