USCG Auxiliary District 7 - Division 6

Welcome to the webpage of Division 6 of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, Seventh District. Almost 500 member volunteers are active in 7 flotillas (units) located throughout Miami-Dade County from Homestead to Sunny Isles Beach. Our Area of Responsibility (AOR) extends from Caesar’s Creek in the South to Lehman Causeway in the North. We patrol the waters of the Atlantic Ocean shoreline, the Intercoastal Waterway and the Miami River in this area. Our Air Program surveys and patrols an even broader geographical area.
Division 6 contributes tens of thousands of hours each year in support of Coast Guard missions. We work directly with the active duty men and women of Coast Guard Station Miami Beach, Coast Guard Sector Miami, Air Station Miami, the 7th District Coast Guard Headquarters and the 7th District Auxiliary Director’s Branch located in Miami. Safety patrols, homeland security activities, radio Watchstanding, electronic Watchstanding , recreational boating safety education, vessel safety checks, marine dealer visits, search and rescue, public relations, administration, environmental protection and much more are included in our efforts.
Essentially, we train and perform in all missions of the active duty and reserve Coast Guard men and women with the exception of legal and wartime duties. Because we pride ourselves on being professional and responsive to Coast Guard requests, we have developed a mutual respect and camaraderie with the officers and members (active, reserve and civilian) of Team Coast Guard.
Feel free to look at the other aspects of our Division website to learn more about what we do.
